Some ideas on what to look for in a solar company in Sydney:
1. Type of Solar Panel
Evaluate the different types of solar panels and where they are made. Manufacturing standards differ and so the same size system can vary in the amount of power it produces. Cost may not be a good indicator of this as so many variables come into play.
2. Will they help you claim your REC’s?
Renewable energy certificates (REC’s) are used to obtain a discount on your solar system. Either the company you buy from will take your REC’s and give you a discount, or you can sell them yourself.
3. What about warranties?
The panels come with a 25 year output warranty and a 10 year structural warranty. Inverters come with a 5 year warranty. We also offer a 12 month workmanship warranty to give you peace of mind. Does your company provide these and do you believe they will be around long enough to service these warranties?
4. Are they Accredited?
The installers should all be Clean energy Council BCSC accredited electricians and the company should ideally be a member of the Clean Energy Council.
5. Length of business operation
How long have they been in business and will they stay in business?
6. Customer Service
The company should have some kind of guarantee that they will have the people and resources to make sure your post sales service is satisfactory.
